What it looks like now is that I'll finish my own kit and possibly sell the design to Powerdyne and let them reproduce and sell everything themselves.

In all honesty, I'm really tired of a lot of the whiney people in the protege community (thankfully NONE in this community). I'm tried of being persecuted for spending all of my free time and money on a project that I specifically started NOT to make me rich.

The protege community HAS to learn how to keep vendors happy and all the in-fighting and bickering and bashing just runs people off. I'm tired of feeling of un-appreciated and I know that sounds selfish but I can't get over the ungrateful people putting demands on me.

I really enjoy you guys here but I'm just too worn down after working 2 jobs and spending all my free time doing this. I have decided to finish my kit and run it up to powerdyne for approval. From there who knows? If they accept it then it's sold and interested parties will have to buy from them. If not then I'll consider selling privately again.

Sorry to have to do this but I'm just tired of being **** on by haters.

Well I know what your talking about. I'm on the other forum and they are abunch on little punks. The only thing is all of the TX guys are there. If they would transfer here I wouldn't even bother. It's ashame that you feel that way but I don't blame you. Even if you don't sell if it would be cool to have a video of the dyno so you could cram it down their throats and have to ONLY SC protege.

On a lighter note you could just sell it only to mimbers of this forum and only to members that have more than 500 post! Hey wait I need to check to see how many I have. LOL

No worries mate! Good luck.

Thumbs up Re: Burn-Out

Matty, I'm sorry you got burned by the self-seekers. Any attempt to make things better gets tangled in & hung by the same kinda lines.

Don't let a few bad ones bum you out to those that are rooting for you to make a big difference for us 2.0 fans.

All the best.

Glen

i'm working on it.....I'm running into a lot of set backs which is never good when I've put myself on such a strict deadline...

If I can swing it the piping will be fabbed up this week and I'll dyno and tune this weekend. Pics and videos will be in abundance. Between now and then though I'll have less than probably 4 hours to work on belt tension. I'm trying to design a belt-guard or auto-tensioner to helphold the belt down under load...it likes to lift a little and will need some help holding it down on the pulley.

Well to be honest you had to know that it wouldn't be easy. Any time someone trys something new and it has the ability to be better than the norm (turbos) the norm people are gona nock you because they want the lime light at you threaten to take.
That and your in uncharted water. there is always set backs. Take your time, get it right and we will support you. I would rather some one do it right and get all the kinks out and test it for reliability, and then sell it. That way when I get it I wont have to worry.

i knew it wasn't going to be easy. That's not a problem for me.....just finding the time and money to put into this type of project to have people try to crap on it.

I plan on getting it right. That's not an issue. I'm just trying to get it tuned properly this month and then I can focus on making small adjustments once I know the engine isn't going to pop.

I had a meet in San Antonio this last Sat and I was the only protégé, every one ells has MSP MPE and P5. I want to stay sleeper and can’t wait for this to come out. It would be kick *** if one of those MSPs pulled up and I just wax them. Could you imagine the look on their face! With no intercooler they would be stumped!

That phrase brings a tear to my eye

See matty a lot of people are still interested in buying your kit. Why not just one full group buy with 10 people. We can even make a spam run with fake usernames at msprotege so people know there is a WOMP gb going on at this forum. I have no doubt you would fill the GB in no time. One you put those videos and dyno numbers up people are gonna get so excited to see it in action and want one. Dont throw all your hardwork away cause of a few ******** on msprotege.

well, I wouldn't be throwing anything away. I don't think I'll have any problem selling my kit, selling a GB run of them or selling the design to powerdyne. All three are real possible.

If powerdyne passes on me then I'll most likely run my own gb's for them....but they will probably only be made in GB quantities of about 5 or more. Other wise it's not real cost effective for me.
