W.O.M.P. Supercharger for 2.0L proteges

I don't think the stock clutch would hold to long any ways. When talking to the Mazda dealer they let me know that the clutch set up in our cars are all-wrong and that’s why we are seeing the chatter. They have a whole different set up to replace the clutch flywheel PP and what not. I think the extra power would just burn it up.
Way to go Matty, sounds like you did you hell of a job. Don't get bothered with what the MSpro people say, they’re just a bunch of young over educated kids. They think be cause you read a book that makes them an expert. The one thing I’ve found out when building anything (home or car) is that just because a book says you can or can’t don’t make it so. And once again you proved that.

I'm working with Ying (noclue) and some of his fellow GaTech grad-buddies to design a state of the art website to promote and seel the WOMP even if I sell the rights to powerdyne. I'm real happy with how excited people have been over this kit. What I take as the biggest compliment is a few MSP owner's have even mentioned selling off their MSP turbo kits to put this supercharger in. I think that's a great thing.
I can't wait to get it all tuned and finalized so I have concrete numbers for you guys.

oh yeah, I've got a video of my car at the drag strip against a T/A....looks like a 99/00 model, didnt' have the nostrils on the hood. He hole-shotted me pretty bad but the video shows I was about a car length behind him the whole way. That was also my highest trap speed of 77.4mph in the 1/8th....after that the belt seemed a little loose and started slipping more...so my trap dropped to 74mph. Once I get this new idler pulley set I won't have to worry about the belt slipping.
I've GOT to get a wideband gauge and some tuning so I can see what it really puts down. I'll be sure to get video of it on the dyno....you noise lovers will like it. It sounds awesome.

Yes,
UPDATE
per a few people's request I went ahead and installed a boost gauge temporarily so I can show the nay-sayers what my car is actually doing. Also, Ken and I have spent several hours last night adjusting maps on the haltech and I think we've got a real good starting point for me to go dyno with. I will be dynoing on the 19th @ Walker Dyno Tune in Trussville, AL if anyone around is interested in showing up.
Here's the good news. Tonight I'll be posting a vid online of a 3rd gear pull in my car. I did this run twice this morning and from about 2700rpms to 6500rpm (82mph) I never peaked past 5psi. As best I can tell with my boost gauge I'm pushing right at 5psi at redline. I did get a little belt slippage which will keep the number from climbing but it wasn't going to go over 5psi. I estimated this would be 6psi and I was pretty close. Not bad for my first attempt at pulley design!!
again this is pure speculation but based on my drag strip experiences and my trap speed and power of the other cars I've outrun I figure I'm putting down right at 180whp @ 5psi (without final tuning). We'll find out for sure on the 19th.

actually it went from about 104whp....whats really interesting to me is that powerdyne says most of their kits give back 50-60% power...I'm already well above 70% without tuning. I figure my early estimates of 200whp @ 6psi will be VERY attainable.
Dave, it'll be the 19th. The guys from B'ham Racing have rented out the dyno all day. My spot got given away so I have to wait around all day to get in but he said they wouldn't leave until the last car was done so I'll get in there!
