so i had an idea about a special badge for the WOMPed protege... this would go where the MAZDA badge (not the flying M) would be, using the guide holes also...just an idea, i hope you like.

Badge is to be Black lettering, checkered flag on the W in WOMP and with chrome accent around the lettering and flag

looks cool! I'm looking for a little "edgier" font and the "O" is going to be the compressor on the blower. It's a cool idea though.

I'm actually shaving all of the emblems off the car and the only thing to remain will be a custom badge I'm having made in the same "Protege`5" It'll say "Supercharged5".

Remember the MP3 style badges for the 5? You could have some made that say "SC5"

WTF: do NOT spam in my thread. You have your own thread to ruin. Failure to comply will mean a temporary ban on your account. You had no intention in this thread other than to start a fight. Do NOT continue this anymore.

not yet. I've taken everything back out of the car and shipped it back to dave to make a few minor adjustments. He'll hopefully modify the pieces I already have and send them back to me promptly so I can do some test fitting.

We had a slight problem with belt slippage but I think 90% of that was the fact that the ps pump was slightly tilted and the blower pulley was a little too far out of line. Both of these will be resolved and I'll try again.

If I'm still unable to get belt traction then I'll be looking at modifying our hinged blower bracket for a solid unit and I'll add an automatic springloaded tensioner like what's found on most cars nowadays. This will allow for infinite adjustability of pulley size with the same belt. Also it'll make belt changing very easy should you need to. Cost will only slightly go up as I'll have to buy new tensioners....probably about $25/per kit. Nothing to sweat over.

what about ya?? I was really hoping someone here locally would have an auto-pro that I could test on but I don't have one. Basically I'm going to install and tune my kit on my car (5spd). I'm then offering "2nd dibs" to DaveB to see if he wants it based on what mine does. If he still does not want to put it on his car it'll be sold to RISM who will be the guinnea pig for you auto guys. I've told him to be up to date on his tranmission services and use the best REDLINE atf fluid possible as well as an auxillary fluid cooler. I think he'll be fine though as a supercharger doesn't deliver torque the same explosive way a turbo does. I want to see how his car shifts under boost though. I've heard "Micah" blew his motor because his auto wouldn't shift at redline under boost...you had to let off the gas to make it shift...I want to know that it'll be safe before releasing this thing "***** nilly" on the market.

I'm trying to take every pre-caution possible. I want to see all "smoked a vette" threads and no "stupid motor blew again" threads.

dude....I haven't finished the first supercharger for the 2.0L motor. I haven't even LOOKED at the 2.3L motor yet. I bought a spare motor and a 3S hatch for testing when I DO GET SOMETHING TOGETHER FOR THE 2.3L......but that is a MINIMUM OF SEVERAL MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD....I haven't even started on it yet....I've said this several times before.

Once the protege 2.0L kit is finished I'm going to try the fitment on the 3i 2.0L motor next....after I get that worked out THEN i'll start on the 2.3
