the thing i dont understand is how you can say the driver of a certain car is a jerk??
what the hell, thats being just as stereotypical..

the dude with the wrx that is trying to start problems,
hes an ******* with nothing better to do

as for stereotyping the drivers of a certain car as jerks..
thats wrong

and whoever said that the TA and WRX is no competition...
youve obviously never raced a WRX with your TA
they would have a neck in neck race

1998 automatic TA WS6 - 13.8
2002 WRX - 13.9
TA won by a hair
my dad owns the TA and my brother owns the WRX
i have the videos and the time slips to show
dont cut the soobies, they are rally cars, but will still smoke most things on the street

Yes, as a matter of fact I have raced a WRX a couple in fact, with the TA, the 1998 WS6 made 305 hp, the 2001's make 325. Every time I've come across the WRX's they must not know how to drive because I usually have left them by the time I hit second. Any mods to your Dads TA? A simple air box lid will get you almost 10hp, headers, chip program, these cars don't take much to get into the 350hp+ range. So please don't tell me that I haven't smoked the WRX's. If I've left you by second gear by and entire car length and 3 car lengths by 100 your smoked in my book. Not to mention the fact that those numbers are given perfect conditions on a track by professional drivers. Now we get into the twisties and they may get me, but it would be close. They always want to drag from stoplights. Anyway not to start a war.....

actually the 1998 TA WS6 comes with 320 hp stock. not 305
youre talking about the non-WS6 ones
my dad has the superchips power programmer, borla cat back exhaust, and an k&n filter

the times that i listed were the times that my brother and my dad actually got at the track
they were not from a magazine, and they surely are not professional drivers
my dad was .1 seconds faster than my brothers wrx
the thing holding my dad back is the A4 tranny
he should have been able to run better than 13.9 but he had wheel spin problems

what mods does your pontiac have?
if you dont have anything major, that WRX couldnt have been trying
I find it hard to believe that a rear wheel drive transam could ever beat a 4 wheel drive WRX to second gear unless it had drag radials and a hell of a good driver
if the race was long enough, you would catch up and pass the subaru for sure

but im not calling you a liar, im sure u did win the races..
however, that WRX driver didnt want to push it
if the subaru launched at 6000 rpm, you would surely be watching his taillights by second gear.....

I don't want to get into a big arguement over the internet,

Yes perhaps the statement of the WS6 VS WRX is like WRX vs P5 may be off a little.

The couple guys I've run against I killed, perhaps they were trying not to hurt their cars, which I understand, it takes a lot for me to really hammer on my car as well.

I've got the airbox lid, the MAF, loudmouth exh., and the underdrive pullys. Never had it on the dyno but seat of the pants it feels pretty good. I've also got some suspension work, but that's not really relevent.

Anyway my point is, well hell what is my point.

I still had one guy in a brand new WRX try to run me on my bike, hell I'll just leave that one alone.

fair enough

by the way, sorry if i came off as an *******
dispite what it may seem like, i am not one

we are gonna run my dads on a dyno in the summer..

i heard the LS1's are under-rated

were hoping for 310-320 at the wheels
the modifications made a big difference
the chip especially helped the automatics shifting abilities
