because wrx and evo are in somewhat different class. evo should be competing with sti. now that is a match. sti and evo are head to head. no real winner, more preference.

Ibluevirus is right, the EVO and the STI are in the same class, they are equivalnt in hp(for the most part), handle about the same, etc. It is truly at that point up to preference. We will really see when the Evo's come to america and then when subaru follows up with the STi. In fact the reason why sub. is bringing the STi is to combat the Evo cause they know that they wrx is not up to par with evo. Not saying the wrx is a bad car or anything just not comparable to an EVO.

Oh yeah NoahsMP5 the big difference is price, you can get a wrx around 24k-26k the Evos will sell for around 28k-30k from what the dealer local to me told me. the price difference is cause of the difference in horsepower and overal performance

I don't know what the deal is with these WRX owners.....granted, their decently quick, but thats all.....it seems more and more, it's the WRX's that i keep having to put in their place....especially on the road.

Dumbass chicken ****. I can picture him now......40 year old...never had a date in his life....had some extra money left over from his viagra perscriptions so he got that car, now he thinks he's all bad ***...oh well bring your damn rice rocket down here and my 335 camaro will hand you your "panzy" ***...you and all your other "friends"

at the local track here in knox, there's a modded out wrx, after market turbo , boost cranked up , picking on the young boys and their hondas, mitze's, integras, thinking he's doing somthing. about 3 weeks ago a honda civic hb pulls to the line and half tracked his ***. he hasent been back since.

Not quite a protege, but still a mazda, and so's an rx-7(kickass).

Leave it to a damn WRX driver, to take the time to register, just to post a flame, and then take off.........i guess these guys are dicks off the road too. WRX

it's funny how some say WRX owners are bad on this and that. But some of you would do the same thing! Talk SMACK! I too talk smack from time to time here and there. But NEVER target specific car. It's the owner that is being an ***/dick/jerk whatever you wish to call him/her, not the car. Everyone owns a car for a different reason. See this little picture below? That's me at a rally. I don't call you names and say "come to the dirt and I'll kick your ***!". I respect those are fast in 1/4 miles and I LOVE rally. People use their car for different things. Do what you like with it, but be nice to others.

WRX

That's funny cause I alway think guys in WRX's are Retards for wanting to run against my TA. It's never even close. That's kinda similar to a WRX vs P5.

It's funny cause most of us obviously didn't buy a P5 to go fast.

hey ibluevirus, that's cool that you like rally. I went over to your board and there's a lot of talk about rallying. What is a good car to start out with? I think the tiny old Justy's are cool. Maybe I should register over there and get into what I've always wanted to do...rally.

i guess it would be a preference thing. First manufactur then model. I don't like toyota or mits, so I picked Subaru. I don't like legacy/brat/outback sports/any wagon. So I picked Impreza coupe/sedan. I am doing 'lite' rally right now, as in rallyx and road rally. This is my one and only car and I don't have rich parents to buy me carSSSS. So I have to be 'nice' to my car . When my skill gets up there, I am thinking of getting an old Impreza L to rally the **** out of and not having to worry about crashing. That's how I would go.

As for you... If you like Mazda, 80s 323 AWD turbo is pretty cool. I saw them last time and they were doing okay. If you are going to jump ship, I would recommand Impreza because I am a Subaru guy If you are serious and new to rally. Get something cheap and won't cry over when you roll. I really think it's all preference when it comes to the end... because no matter what other people tell you, you are the one that is going to buy/drive the car.

Rally On!
