What's wrong with my engine??

For some reason it won't start...any ideas why? Stupid rotary engines never work right.

I'll post some pics of what the engine bay looked like BEFORE I satrted to give you an idea of how much has come out. Even the "before pic" is missing the airbox and clutch fan.

Engine that color, you should give it to Karen for the Banana! Rotaries are hard to mess up with only three main moving parts. Maybe you should try putting on some sort of fuel system?! Or is the Pepsi one of those high mileage secrets the oil companies don't want us to know about?! Seriously, good luck with your fix-up. What are your plans? I am going to finish up my Pro, then hit my '81 hard as time/money permit. Wide body kit and a TII conversion are in order.

How long do you figure it will take to get this thing going?

I'm ready for a road trip.

paint and body will take 3-4 weeks. The engine build is being done in the same time and SOME of the custom interior will be done also. I'm hopping to have it ready for the track in 2 months.

It would go a lot faster with some OEM support...wink wink.

oh man...i dont know how much of anything going back on the car will be stock...

the biggest thing I could really use is OEM black carpet. The aftermarket stuff I'm buying doesn't include the side panels that are carpetted around the rear shock towers.

I'm re-doing the interior in all black but I doubt any of the 1986 RX7 stuff will still be available. If I had a list of what all could be had new OEM I'd probably go crazy ordering off it.

All of the power train stuff is aftermarket but I'd love a clean oem black interior...

OH!! seats...some black velour seats from the 93-94 RX7 R1....damn that would be great.

Nice little project going there.... I still have that 110 sittin' around if you need it, since I've decided to run all my cars strictly on jet fuel now.
Why settle for m4d powa when I can hit Mach 1?

I personally own 3 cars right now... the p5, SHO and FC...all 3 are projects. The Beetle is the wifes and she refuses to let me touch it. I sold my 67 Mustang and turbo pinto.
