question about oem fog lights???

I was in an accident and when I had my car fixed they put a s-model bumper on my car. well, they ordered the fog lights that fit the i-model bumper. well, I took the fog lights back to the shop that was fixing my car and told them they were the wrong ones so they ordered them again (from the dealer) stating that they needed the ones for the s-model bumper and when I got them this time the plastic around them is the same one that fits the i-model bumper. and when I went online to the mazda website to look at the accessories the only accessory fog lights they had were for the i-model. so my question is are they all like that and do they get detached from the i-model plastic molding and attached to the bumper or do they just keep sending me the wrong ones?????

I've never seen the i-model fog lights before but the ones pictured on the Mazda3 2006 accessories page definitely look a bit different than the ones on my 2006 S 4-door.

The S model fog lights aren't available as an accessory though; they're standard. All S models have fog lights. You need to talk to the parts guy at the dealer and tell him you want replacement fog lights for a Mazda3 S, not accessory fogs. If he does any sort of lookup on your car's VIN and you have an i model he's probably going to hand you i fogs (which you don't want); make sure he's on the same page you are.

Andrew is exactly right. You need to ask for original factory fog lights for an S. Not Accessory foglights for the i.
