oh yeah for people out there...i was reading this one reply things and the guy got all mad cuz people were using "NOS" for nitrous oxide and said to use "N2O" because nos is the name of a company. we all know that. we dont care. but NOS is easier to spell and it gets the point across better so whatever.

peace
Question 1....wet vs. dry NOS system

A DRY system is where you only mount the bottle in the back and add the N2O injectors and it adds JUST N20..... a WET system ALSO has added fuel injectors and a fuel management system thus when you hit the trigger it not only injects N2O but a LOT of additional fuel as well.

Question 2. Which one is better....

that one is relitive...it depends on the application, more tunalbe? I think that also depends on what you are really doing with the system.....but generally the answer would be YES.

Question 3.....what is WOT

Wide Open Throttle as in the HAMMERIN THE GAS!

Question 4....the "chip" question.

I am sure that with enough cash...you can have anything set up you want. as far as if there are some KITS...not sure.

ANY compressed gas gets COLD as its released from the cylinder....thus....as you release the N2O from its bottle into the intake ITS temperature is COLD and supplies a cooling effect to the intake charge......

why? not sure I understand the question unless you are asking WHY it cools the air....and that answere is BECAUSE ITS COLD! LOL :{D

have you ever used a CO2 fire extinguisher? if so....remember how after you discharged it there was frosty stuff all over the horn/nozzle? well that was moisture in the air that was FREEZING on the horn/nozzle because the CO2 coming out got that cold when it was released from its presurized state.

There used to be a company that made a product called "Nitrous Mastermind". I don't remember what it does but it was from a company called Jacobs Electronics. They make a lot of stuff for us old V8 heads.

Update: I looked it up and they are still manufacturing it. Looks kind of like what you want but it would be a b-atch to wire up in a modern vehicle (if you could even do it). Definitely meant for dragsters. Looks like it always injects nitrous at a given point.

O2 is like a pile of wood. by itself it is worthless, you nede to ADD fire to the wood to make a big fire... the more wood the bigger the fire, the more O2 the bigger the fire
that is a bad illustration because when you burn wood you are adding oxygen to it at a really fast rate. oxygen aids burning like you said, but it is nothing like wood in a fire. oxygen is almost like a catalyst in that the more (or less) you have available, the faster (or slower) something will burn. that is, untill you run out of it, then whatever is burning will stop burning because there is no more oxygen to add to it.

Oxygen is nowhere near a catalyst. It is an active participant in the combustion reaction. Its not a compound that helps speed up the combustion reaction, it is the combustion reaction.

yeah, i couldn't think of another way to put it. i don't have a very wide vocabulary and i suck at teaching things to others. i haven't taken any chemistry in 12 years, either.

I haven't stayed awake for chemistry in about twelve years. I took a chemistry for engineers class once and damn near fell into a coma.
