what about a custom hood instead of carbon fiber..kinda like the one on the mitsubishi evo's?

Is there any truth that a Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS hood w/scoop will fit a 2001 Pro? Its a rumor floating around on some boards. I haven't had a straight answer and i am trying to find someone that owns a Impreza 2.5 RS so that I can take some measurements. Any info would help to support this claim.

I would say(not knowing for sure but pretty sure)that the scoop would fit, but the hood itself would NOT. I have seen pics of an MP3 with a suby hood scoop, he has it on his OEM hood.

Saw a couple more people that had originally posted to this thread about wanting hoods for the Proteges. Fiber Images says they expect to start shipping the 2001-2002 Protege (Sedan, MP3, & Protege5) hoods a week from Friday (putting them shipping around the 22nd) So, if you are interested in the hood, let me know. Price was 620.00 shipped in the US for the Black & 720.00 for the colored Kevlar weaves. And those of you that havent already posted in the other thread about the 99-2000 Hoods, Im taking preorders/deposits on Fiber Images hoods for your 1999-2000 Proteges. I've got to have at least 8 of these commited/deposits made before I can get Fiber Images to make them so the faster we get those 8 (we have 3 paid so far & supposedly 3 others that are going to be paying) the sooner they will be made. So e-mail me if you are interested in either hood.
