Too much road noise how to get rid of it?

I think you may find that a lot of noise is wind noise not only from the roof rack, but from the rear view mirrors as well. They look cool, but that gap between the mirror and the door really makes the air turbulent. There might also be some wind roar coming in from the rear door weatherstripping right behind your left ear (on the B pillar). If you sit in the drivers side rear seat and look at that area while you open and close the door, you might see what I mean. Just a guess, but maybe experimenting with some more weatherstipping in this area might help in cutting down the noise.

Generally, as far as road noise though, I think it is acceptable for me considering the suspension setup (heck even not considering it). I consider myself pretty picky too. It does have a different nature to it though, because of the suspension stiffness.

Oh, another source of noise that is probably impossible to get rid of is the buzzyness of the engine at around 70 mph due to the high gearing. That will be hard to get rid of because you hear it, but you also feel it to a large degree.
