low idle problems?
HEy guys!!
I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with thier cars idleing to low when they come up to a lite of when they stop? I have a 2003 P5 with an injen intake and a exhaust system. they have been on for about 2 months now but about a month ago it started to idle a little high when i started it up and would take a couple of mins to lower. and not just a little hi lke 2-3000 rpm then wouold lower. then last night i was going into town and down shifted to pull into my buddys shop and the car almost died when i came to a complete stop? then it picked itself up and idled fine.
THe i went to go get a movie and everytime i stoped or pushed in the clutch it would fall on its face for about 7-10 sec and then idle fine? I was waiting for my wife to get off work so i let the car idle. for about 10-15 minwhile i was sitting in it. then on the way home it ran fine no sine of it having any promlems???????
I have no driving problems with the car other then somtimes it feels like it has no power like the AC is on but it surges like that. then when the revs are up it ok? but it sure can seem like there is a problem?
Any Help would be great !!!!!!

MY 2002 P5 DID THE SAME THING BUT I WAS AT 50 K MILES AND THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED ALL OF THE DECORATIVE VACUM HOSES BACK TO STOCK, DID'T WORK WANTED TO TAKE CAI OFF WOULDN'T LETTHEM BECAUSE HAD IT FOR SO LONG BEFORE PROBLEM STARTED, THEY CHANGED FUEL FILTERS,PUMP PLUGS WIRES AND FINALLY O2 SENSERS THEN THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY NO CLUE MYSELF OR THE DEALERSHIP WHAT WAS THEPROBLEM BUT ITS STILL GONE 10,K LATER

yes i have checked every line and hose under the hood that i thought might be a problem. And i also rest the ECU. THe car has been fine since friday night when i let it idle for about 15 min waiting for my wife to get of work. And i drove it hard yesterday to see if i could get it to do it agian.. But nothing just thought it was weird how its gone just like that?

Mine does the same thing
I reset the computer and reset base idle up to 800-850.
Let it idle for 30 min.
But it still does it about 10% of the time I pull up to a stop light.
Kind of anoying when you want or need to take off quickly and it falls flat on its face because you caught it on a low spot.

i think it's a common problem with cars with intakes. There is a lot less restriction and the car is swallowing much more (volume) air at low idle. I have noticed my intake causes my idle top stumble ever so slightly but it's a trade-off I'm more than happy with.
