Idle problems

okay guy/gals

I got the alternator changed and all that is fine
my new problem is when ever I give it gas it will rev up to 2300-2500 rpms and cut out and then go back up to 2300-2500 again even if I am holding the gas steadily, I cant drive the car like this the mazda delaer was no help, any Ideas at all

im pretty sure, would that really effect the rpms dropping like that???

what no help out there????

the altenator belt is tight.....I just started doing it, does anyone I mean anyone have any useful tips?

If you have an ohm meter check the tps, and isc motor

that is some weird stuff man. if that was really happening to my car, i'd do spark plugs, wires, dis cap, check for intake hole, unplug n plug back in the tps and vaf connections. i'd get a new coil most likely. reset computer (disconnect negative and i usually take out a brake light so i can see it while im holding the brake pedal down until the light goes out). yesterday my car started studdering like crazy and couldnt rev past 4k i think it was. took me awhile to figure out the problem until i heard this clicking sound in the dis. cap.

well I dont know what it was but I went out to the car to try and isolate the prob and it didnt do it anymore and hasent been all day.

my power steering is winding though and its loud and it sucks, fluids fine so I will have to look further into it
