Idle Problems with new tb
i have a mx-3 with a bp swap and i was using the stock sohc tb till yesterday when i put on a escort gt tb
when i started it up it idled at 2500 so i turned the idel screw down and it only will go as low as 1500, the cable isn't to tight keeping the tb open
i havn't touched the tps
so whats going on it;s really pissing me off
ohh ya and i used a new gasket

did you reset the ecu? if not, disconnect the battery and hold the brake pedal down for 20 seconds.
EDIT: I just want to make sure... Did you swap out the ECU when you did the BP swap?
make sure to go over the entire intake system that you touched or moved in the process of replacing the TB. you may have inadvertently created a vacuum leak somewhere.
Also, the new TB that you put on may have a F'd IAC module (it's the component that sits on the bottom of the TB). You can try putting the IAC from your old TB on the new. It might work. I'd try that if you didn't find any vacuum leaks.
If you still have a fast idle after swapping the IAC modules, post another message.
Later on.
