Damnit, again, this decision is hard. I went to go see the Protege5, and man is it HOT! Anyways, also stopped by Subaru Impreza 2.5RS and that has one nice *** seats and interior. I'll let u guys know what's happening when I make a decision.

I am in agreement with PseudoRealityX, what has it been, about a year since you started looking? Are you really going to buy a car or just waisting our time?

Just a note

While he's at it, he might as well consider the 2007 5th gen Protege. LOL

Kenji, good luck on whatever you purchase. As for the Civic EX, my best friend has one.

It's called the Si here, and my sedan was dead even with his coupe. In everyday driving, he keeps his Civic at at least 3,500 rpms to have comparable power to mine when I cruise around at 2,500 rpms. His also cost quite a bit more then my Protege

If you're blind, or don't care about the looks of your car, check out the new Si, that shifter looks interesting.... might cost more but it's there...

Hi guys,

I'm from a 7th gen Civic site, and came across this site. Nice site you have here.

This is kinda funny seeing this thread, cuz kenji was also on our site asking for opinions about the Civic EX and the Protege5. A few people over there also told him to go with the Pro5.

Apparently, he finally went with the 2002 Civic EX coupe... he told us over there.

Ronin, have him, he's all yours hehehe

After about 10 different threads on P5 vs Civic vs Corolla vs Yugo he finally got a car. We spent about 4 months telling him what's the pros and cons of each one. I think we could've written a book with all the typing we did hehe..

After all that work you guys put in recommending the P5, he finally went with the Civic. LOL

(I'm still chuckling at that Yugo remark ... )

Oh well. I'm sure he will enjoy the sloppy handling and subpar interior.

I'm probably just the opposite. Hey Ronin, you probably remember me as noodleboy on 2k1civic.com. I got tired of my 2k1 really quick and the styling and handling of the protege5 just got me. Now i'm here!

I had a 96 Honda Civic EX before I bought my P-5 in February 2002. I agree that the Honda is reliable and I would have bought a new one but they are not as apealing. My husband has a 95 Miata M-edition and talked me into the Mazda what a great buy. You should really go with the P-5.
