If your going to get a Civic Si, go for the 1999 and 2000 model.
The new Si's look like ****.....IMO...
The older model is sweet though and is the fastest Civic out of them all ..........

yeah the newer one does not look cool at all , but I do think it is faster that the older models , simply cause it may be lighter , but I don't know the weight specs on it , cause I have never cared to look it up lol

I looks like all the other cars out there. I don't think it looks any different or sportier. Buy the Mazda at least it looks different and there is not a lot of them around.

Whataturd

what a POS. I've always liked Honda, they've always been inovative but this just sucks. It's a regression in performance, the new Si engine has more more cubes but still the same HP output, and a bit more torque(but at a useless 500 RPMS's), and it doesn't even rev like a champ anymore, i mean 6800 RPM's WTF is that, the old B-series Si motor went to 8G's.
Oh and the damn thing weights as much as a Protege'5, 2700Lbs. I mean god it's a two-door coupe how the hell does it weight 2700 Lbs ? Ya' know what else is funny the 15" wheels with shitty rubber

hopefully that'll be the case, but it's a HONDA and regardless if it's ugly or not they'll still make more aftermarket **** for the Hondas, then they'll ever do for a 1000 times better looking Protege...........I guess life's not fair afterall

I don't know. I always give the ugly award to the Nissan Sentra. To me the new Si just looks like they gave up trying. Kind of like they wanted to copy a Focus but could not quite figure out how. If I were to put my money down on a higher performing car I guess it would have to be the Focus. Only problem is that the 2.0L Zetec is one noisy piece of crap when you pair it to a manual. I wonder if they were able to get rid of some of that noise? As for Honda I have had enough of body roll like a ship at sea civics. Someday people are going to realize that those Honda Civics are just overpriced Escorts. I test drove all three Civic trims several times before I bought my Protege. All 3 rolled and the only one able to cancel it out at all was the EX. How do you expect to build a performance car off of a platform like that?

I agree with most you the post, the new civic is pretty ugly. The Ford Focus was one of the cars on my list when I was shopping, but I didnt like the way the car felt when I test drove it. It didnt feel like it would last a long time, but the looks were great. I was very impressed with the interior space, but when it came down to what car was the best, the P5 won all the points!
