Zoomzoomh is right--while it's cool that a lowly protege can run with, and beat, the big boys like BMW--the truth is sobering. Mazda funds their teams far more than any other manufacturer in the SCCA, REGARDLESS of their finishing position! Nevermind all the independent teams that won't see one penny from their manufacturer unless they pull off a top 3 or top 5 finish. This allows Tri-point to do things other team can't, such as build an engine so overstressed that it has to be replaced every few races. All that variable blahblahblah costs money you know
Most other teams can only afford ONE engine for the entire season; and if it's lost they're up the proverdial creek.

One last thing--about Ft. Lauderdale--fly it again macdaddyslomo.
