Ok

pic 1: horrible welds

pic 2: crankcase vent tube nipple is WAY too big...common sense

pic 3: horrible welds + pipe not evenmatched up evenly

pic 4: out of round piping, like it was bent or crushed somehow

pic 5: big stretch of ripples in the pipe. Hard to see in the glare

pic 6: burn marks on pipes, not even cleaned up before shipping out. had greasy fingerprints all over it. Very unprofessional IMO.

I find it hard to believe Wagner would ship out stuff like this....I've seen his personal work and it's great. This is junk.

p.s. notice that I didn't show off any of the couplers or clamps I paid for....because they never made it to my house. I sent I think 3-4 emails asking WTF?? I was told wagner lost all my info. I gave them my shipping and contact info YET AGAIN and still never received anything.

I actually did get to talk to wagner on the phone after several months and told him personally what was going on. He PROMISED me on the phone that he would get to it on monday (after the weekend) and have everything corrected and back to me within days. Now he gets online and says he doesn't owe me anything......

I believe this is a accurate timeline for those wondering whats going on and why everything is taking so long.

Jan '05 - Matty finishes the first WOMP prototype on his car with a BD-600 blower.

Feb '05 - Matty gets the haltech installed. Dynos the car and gets it tuned.

March '05 - Near the end of march Matty takes payment from the 4 original sponsors.

April '05 - Matty gets the last of the money from the sponsors and orders 4 BD-600 blowers.
At this time Matty is told the BD-600 has been discontinued and that he can order the bd-11a
Powerdyne tells him the two blowers are the same size except for the impeller housing.
So feeling confident they will still fit Matty orders 4 BD-11a blowers

May '05 - Matty is told by powerdyne that their aren't enough housings in house to complete his order.
When the extra housings arrive they tell him they don't have enough impellers to fill is order.
Also at this time Matty orders 1 new prototype set of pipes. He orders one set just in case the BD-11a requires some reworking with the pipes.

June '05 - Matty receives his 4 BD-11a blowers and they are gigantic. They wont even fit in the engine bay without cutting a hole in the hood. But he tries to make it fit.

July '05 - Matty stops trying to get the blowers to fit and calls powerdyne to return them and put the money towards 4 BD-600 blowers. They tell him they will only make the BD-600 in orders of 10 since they are discontinued. So Matty begins his hunt to find 10 buyers.
Also during January Matty receives his pipes new pipes from Wagner. Which are completely wrong. Bad welds, wrong material, off round piping, and crankcase vent tube nipple was too big. Also did not receive T-clamps and couplers he had ordered with the pipes.

Aug '05 - After weeks of calling Matty gets in touch of Wagner. It turns out Wagner didn't even make the pipes someone else in his shop did. Wagner apologizes for the error and tells him they will be fixed ASAP and shipped out.

Sep '05 - Matty still hadn't received his new pipes and we only have 8 out of the 10 people needed for the BD-600 group buy.

thats pretty close. About powerdyne though. They told me if I were to return the blowers I'd have to pay almost $130 in re-stock fee's and the only way they'd give me a decent price on the bd-600's was if I purchased in groups of 10. I can buy them one at a time but the price goes WAY up. Also, I was told that if I wanted to return the blowers they'd waive all fees but I'd be required to place a "double order". Which means if I return 4 blowers I'd have to buy 8 on my next order. Then they "throw me a bone" and say if I were to buy 10 at once they'd knock the price down some (still $400 more than what I paid originally).

I HAVE to buy 8 unless I can sell off these bd-11a's on my own. That's what I've been doing. I've listed them for sale on Ebay 3 times. I've sold one. The problem is that it costs me almost $32 everytime I list one for sale because of listing fee's reserve price, etc.

I'll handle the blowers. I'm not worried about that. I'm just trying to do it as cheaply as possible for everyone.

another thing to keep in mind about that calander of events is that in that time frame I've had 2 dental surgeries and one gastrointestinal procedure. At some point something will have to go right for me.

Thanks to nutari and his whining the WOMP is officially banned from msprotege forums.

Hey nutari next time you decide to go bitching about not having your kit on time make sure you know the real reasons why you dont have it yet. Instead of just wildly speculating on a forum that already has a problem with the project in the first place.

Matty has said, if you really need the kit right now send him an extra 2 grand and the kit will be at your door. Cuase at that point he wouldnt need to find good deals or wait for GBs.

If you're not gonna do that then shutup and have some ******* patience

because I've used some of his money to purchase parts that I have stuck in limbo. Giving him a full refund would mean taking money from everyone else to shut him up.

I honestly would have much less trouble just giving him the money the money if he'd ever once just come to me politely or privately and tried to work something out with me.

The only two times I've spoken with Nutari was once when he said he was going to sue me for fraud and when he was begging and crying for me to build him a kit. This kid is a headache and has personal issues that seem to carry over into his public life. Maybe if he asked me nicely or explained his situation as opposed to getting online and threatening to sue me I'd pull the money out of my own personal pocket (like I've done before) and give it back.

playing devil's advocate here, so i apologize in advance if this offends you... but wouldn't it just be easier to find another person to sponsor? obviously, the guy was expecting a product that he thought was closer to completion than currently projected. in my experience, when a sponsored person wants out of their "contract" (whatever terms you may have set), they just say so and their obligations as well as their kickbacks towards sponsorship are voided. they get a refund on parts undelivered and won't get anything at cost like they were to get in said original agreement. i'm sure you have plenty of people interested in sponsorship; if memory serves me right, there was a screening process on the other forum.

how about a happy medium? you still have the excess blowers that can't sell on ebay, and from this thread i've read, that's about as far as the project has gotten because of delays that are out of your control. just send him the rest of his money back and whatever money of his you spent on the project for materials, send him those materials.

and for clarification's sake, now that you've sold one of the blowers already, your obligations to powerdyne are for three blowers, allowing you to still follow their double order requirement and need only 6 orders, right? sure, 10 would be cheaper, but with the progress, or lack of progress due to outsourcing, maybe it's time to weigh other options. perhaps nutari would reconsider backing out if he at least knew you had his blower in hand.

i guess it's true what they say, you gotta pay to play. perhaps a kit as cheap as you had quoted isn't a realistic proposition? or if it is possible, it might not be worth the headache? just my thoughts...

If Nutari want's a partial refund and all the parts I've already purchased for his car I'll be more than happy to do that. The blower I purchased for him retails for $2209. He can have it (Bd-11A) and do whatever he wants with it. I've also got his slim-fan here, idler pulley, pulley mount, synthetic ATF,. etc that he special requested.

I'm more than willing to work with people on stuff but they have to come to me politely if they want some sort of decent reaction out of me. Getting online, cursing me, calling me a thief, threatening to sue me does not make me want to bend over backwards or bust my hump any harder to help him out.

In all honesty the kits are (even sponsored) are going to cost more than the preliminary quotes I gave everyone. I doubt nutari even has the money to get the rest of his kit bought and paid for at cost. $1700 for custom, one-off FI is a bit low. $1000 for the headunit, $100 for ATF, $400 for fmu+vc, That leaves $200 for brackets, piping, filter, slim-fan, hose clamps, couplers, pulleys, nuts/bolts, etc.

What I promised everyone was a quality, complete kit as cheaply as possible (at no profit to myself). So far I've kept that promise but I've not been able to put kits in anyones hands without asking for more money. I'm tyring to sell off the blowers I have on hand to keep from doing anything with powerdyne other than buying new units. I've also sold the first blower at a profit (over what I paid). If I can do that on the other 3 then that cuts down the cost everyone else has to come up with. Instead of needing an extra $400 per blower they may only need an extra $200 or so. It seems like I'm just sitting on my *** but I'm really trying to save everyone as much money as possible while still getting quality parts.

The situation with the pipes/couplers/clamps from wagner is just absurd. He has $600 of OUR money and I have a half a set of incomplete pipes. I'm not exactly sure what the best course of action is frankly. I've tried SO many times sending e-mails and calling and leaving messages that get NO response. Do I continue to hound him and wait indeffinately or do I take more money and have a local guy here that I trust handweld all of the piping like on my original set? The price will go up a good bit but it won't take months and it'll be quality. Instead of paying $350-ish for pipes and all couplers/clamps I'll probably end up spending about $650 for a set of pipes and clamps. So there's another $300 more....see my dillema.

If any of you other guys (who have been so extremely patient) would like a refund just let me know. In all honesty I'm fed up and done. Anyone that wants to wait it out with me I'll keep pounding away at it but if anyone wants out just let me know. I've had a lot of things in my personal life recently and Sept. is always a real rough month for me with work. I don't have the energy to invest in fighting off personal attacks and accusations as well fight with vendors over delays. The fewer kits I have to work with the easier for me but most likely the more expensive it may be (may not get bulk discounts).

I'll leave it yalls hands.

p.s. I'm going to be on a business trip for the next week+. When I return I'm having surgery again and will be out for at least 3 days. I have a tumor in my large intestine that has rapidly gotten bigger and started pushing into my lung. The first procedure I had did was not able to remove it so now I have to go in for the full surgery. I won't be able to respond quickly if at all for the next week or so. Don't think I've run or anything. Those of you who have my phone number can call my wife while I'm out if you need something urgently.

well guess what....it's impossible to leave me voice mails when I don't have voice mail. my home phone (the number he uses most frequently) only has caller id. No'one from Pennsylvania (other than Kargoboy) has called me in the past 3 months. He may have tried calling my work number but my mom would've told me instantly. She calls me at midnight when someone tries calling my work line to let me know I missed a call. No'one has tried to call me.

I've sent wagner numerous emails....why he won't respond to them is beyond me. here is the last set of emails he replied to..

"Matty

I did not know that you had this many problems with the pipes and you should have recevied the fittings and clamps the next day after the pipes. I will address the issues over the week end and get back to you on monday. Again I am sorry for this I will take care of this!!

Joe, what the hell? It has been WEEKS since I've received the package from you guys and I've heard nothing back. There are SEVERAL SERIOUS issues that need addressing NOW. I'm going to list these for the second time. I've also called 5 times, left 3 messages and had 2 other people call....no'one has gotten a call back.

1. The intake pipe is welded....this is NOT acceptable. As you could see from the pipes I sent I can weld the pipes myself. I wanted them mandrel bent. If there is not enough room on the end of the pipe to make that shallow bend then you need to use a longer piece of pipe and cut off the excess. This is a moot point but the welds on the inlet pipe were horrible. Even if welding was acceptable to me there is no way I'd give that pipe to a customer.

2. This is not made of lightweight aluminum like Andy and I had discussed. This feels like stainless steel. WAY too heavy for this application. The pipes I sent in weighed less than 6lbs total, these pipes shipped back were almost 2.5X's heavier.

3. Dirty dirty dirty. Who ships out nasty greasy pipes with fingerprints all over them? Even if they were useable I'd have to spend my time re-polishing everything before I'd let it go out my door. I know Andy and this is NOT the kind of work he puts his name on.

4. WHERE ARE MY SILICONE HOSES AND CLAMPS??!!?!

5. The inlet pipe had a nipple welded on for the crankcase ventilation hose....it was WAY too big, not even close. Anyone could look at that and tell it wouldn't work at all.

6. The main charge pipe (biggest one) had ripples in it. This is not real obvious by just looking at it but when you rub your hand across it you can feel the waves in the metal. Not the kind of quality I've come to expect from Andy.

Here is what I need done and what I need done NOW.

1. I need those silicone hoses and clamps I paid for almost 5 months ago.
2. I need these pipes re-made in the correct lightweight aluminum that I requested originally.
3. I need EVERY pipe mandrel bent with only 2 welded spots...the bypass fitting on the charge pipe and the nipple on the inlet pipe. nothing more.
4. I need this in a hurry.

I've been extremely patient with this whole process and I'm absolutely at the end of my rope now. I consider Andy a good friend and a great fabricator. This is NOT the kind of product I'd expect from him and I'd bet the farm he hasn't even seen this stuff prior to it coming to me. There is no way he'd let this stuff leave his shop with his name on it looking like this. I just HAVE to have this done correctly and I have to have it done NOW. I've been more than patient and I expect the product I ordered in a timely manner.

Someone HAS to get back with me about this. Either you or Andy but I need to know that this will be taken care of promptly so I can get people off my back.

Hey Matty, How's it going? I'm sorry about not including the silicone couplers and connectors, that's totally my fault. I should have included them but I must have been spacing. Anyway, pertaining to your original piping I sent them to the HELENA MAIL CENTER on May 10th. I contacted them and they were supposed to call you when they got there. I sent them there because I couldn't get a hold of you back then to confirm your home address(we didn't have it back than) and I thought it would just be easier to send them there for you to pick up. Here is the tracking number which confirms they received the package: UPS 1Z6Y746W0394423643. Pertaining to your intake pipe, the reason it was welded was because the radius is to tight for our mandrel bender. Andy did say there is one weld that shouldn't be there and he will re-fab that pipe if you are not happy with it. Talk to you later. -Joe

pay carefull attention to the dates and how many times I mentioned IN DETAIL the problems I had and that he said he would take care of them and get stuff out to me immediatly. Also, note that I left SEVERAL (4) forms of contact info for myself. I'm very easy to get a hold of. Ask anyone.

There is nothing that pisses me off more than when people lie about me. I have all of our emails going back for about a year. I've got proof showing he admits wrong doing and everything matches the timeline of what I've been telling people yet he's going to try to lie and make me look bad??

People on that forum wonder why vendors leave and no'one makes new products for the proteges.....stuff like this has a lot to do with it. I have a pretty thick skin until stuff like this happens.
