VICS improvement

Is there a way to improve,to boost VICS?Other than a high flow air filter I mean.

Do not mess with it. VICS has nothing to do with air filter or air flow- what it does is that at certain rpm lenght of intake manifold runners changes through opening or closing of little plates. I believe Mazda engineers put proper care in calculating optimal rpm. So at higher rpm air goes through shorter path, lower rpm-longer path. Moving it either may yield results on highly tuned engine while having car on real dyno, not "butt dyno".
Oh, yeah-adding air filter doesn't qualify car as "tuned"
