1st gen BP into 2nd gen Protege / 323
#3
Well, i'm not positively sure.... but swappinn the 1st gen bp into the 2nd gen will work but i doubt the wire harness you may have will work. Y ou'll have to go find a 1st gen wire harness. I'm not sure about the motor mounts either. Maybe different *shrugs*

Might need second gen mounts.
Thats OK BP second gens are quite common in Canada.
You'll probably have to use the first gen harness and ECU, the second gen has VICS (or is it VTCS I can't remember) and the first gen doesn't which means you'll thrrow a check engine light for that **** if you use the second gen ECU.
You might be able to use the second gen harness but why bother, if(?) you have the first gen harness and ECU might as well use that.

someone told me to use all the 2nd gen stuff on the BP motor ..... why would i want to use the 2nd gen ECU on a GTR motor ...
what differences are there ?
fuel cureves, timing curves must be different ... no ?
i know that running a MX-3 ( 1.8L V6 ) ECU on a KLZE ( 2.5L V6 ) makes the car run like *** when cold, runs it too lean ... etc.
