what I need to know are four things for every one of these questions:

1. What's the diameter? got that
2. What's the width?
3. What's the offset?
4. What tire size are you planning on running?

All that info is on the back of the wheel. Clean it and you should find a stamping.

Rishi .. Any updates on the new Rota rims (Attack, Battle) and fitments for the Protege5?
I'm looking for a 16x7 and a 15x7 or 6.5 (one set for summer tires and one set for autocross with r-compounds next season).

I am worried the GramLights fitment for the DC-5 Integra will have the wrong center bore although it is otherwise perfect .. so that might take care of the 16-inches. Rays doesn't list center bores for their wheels unless I missed something.

The rota website is so crap (and most shops don't really have up to date product information either) ... anyone know who works on it? Are they interested in setting up something better?

Tires would be 225/50/15 r-compounds.

I think I read a guideline somewhere .. if you add an inch of width, then take off 5 mm of offset to keep the spacing like stock? *shrug*

ive heard that the motegi mr7 wouldnt fit our car without modding i have a 2000 protege lx want to get 17x7 running 205/40/17 +40mm offset will this work?

FYI, as shown in the recipe the sedan has more offset room than the wagon. My recommended limits are a +42 offset.

hey foxy im running 17's on my 92 323 hatch. They are the omni concepts N-7's (same thing as the MR7's) the reason for the different kind is simply that they ran out of the MR7's and my car was going to be comming out of the shop that week and i didnt want to put my steelies on with the kit so i got them at a great price 1,100 and change.. Wraped in khumo supra tires.
The turning in them is awsome, so much better of a feal for the road. ive sceen a 323 on 18's and lowered... i dont know how he did it.. but i think you couldprobibly lower your car about an inch-inch and a half with out any rub.. i was going to lower mine but the kit makes it only 5 inches in the front now... wouldent be able to make it up my drive way..

i see this chart below can someone anybody tell me so that a 3rd gen pro sedan can run 17's on 205/40/17 with a 40mm offset with no rubbing right? since the p5 lowest offset is 42 so the sedan can go at max 2- 3mm offset below that right which puts the pro sedan at +40mm offset b/c i see alot of ppl here with 17's
on there pro sedan and i know axis se7ens and motegi mr7 have 40mm offset in 17's thanks

Can run 2 to 3 mm less offset than the Wagon. Appears to have a little more room under the fender. As we've got no problems with wheelguuruu's 19's at all.

I am running Enieki RSF-2's 17x7 with 40 mm and 215/40/7 and there is no rub slammed 2.5 inches. FYI
life is good....
Although Kumho tires suck... my dunlops were wayyyy grippier. almost like 10 mph grippier on the turns.

What's the correct offset for a 8" wide rim? (probably but not necessarily 17")

If it is 17" .. will 235/40/17's even fit (it's a better match by od than 225/45) for the MP3.

I'd say the highest offset you should run on an 8" wide wheel is a +45. I will be seeing if the +50 offset will work in the next week or so. Now with regards to the right offset on stock fenders, there is none. Not in the rear at least. No matter what you will most likely rub with 8" wide wheels. Keep in mind that if you were to try and take measurements for yourself on the vehicle you must account for an extra inch and a half of width. Because an 8" wheel is never 8" from outer rim lip to lip.

Also on a FWD car you'd really only want to run wider up front and not in the rear. This is why I will be running 17's next year with 225/35/17 and 215/40/17. I found a tire that is made in those two sizes. THe 215 will go in the rear, while the meat is up front as it should be. So rj, your idea is a good one for the front of the vehicle. I'd have to make some more measurements to confirm them.

Mr. deckedout, I'm interested in what had to be done to not rub. I've run 17,7 +40 wheels with 215/40/17, not lowered and when having passengers in the rear, would rub badly. So this would be cool to know. Did you roll your fenders? What kind of tires are you running? I had kumho 712's on the wheels I was running. Do you have the 712 or 711?
