As you'll notice, underneath the MP5 fitment I've indicated some approximations for the offset required on the sedan. When comparing the given +42 offset on a 205/40/17 and subtract 3mm from that, which I've indicated, you'll arrive at +39mm offset. Being that it's only one mm I can see how it would work with that size tire. I've done the fitments on the MP5 and that's what I can vouch for. I've also done several fitments on the MP3 which is how I arrived at different offsets for the two different models.

BTW, Once you're lowered or loaded you will achieve slightly more negative camber allowing a little more room as well.

I am sure you're running a 205. Is that correct? I'm glad it doesn't rub. That's a good thing. With the addition of your offset we can now broaden the offset range.

Please include the brand/model/ and size of tire used. This info is very important as different tires have different section widths even though they read the same size. i.e. a Pirelli might work while a dunlop won't.

As for the rims they are only Eagle Series 191. You won't find many of these as they have only done one production of these rims. It's a 17 X 7 width and a 38 offset. Running NK's 205/40/17. Also have the Eibach Pro kit drop. Got the rims, tires and drop for $1800CAD taxes and shipping in. So I'm not complaining about them being a lower quality tire. :D

Probably doesn't help you much. They don't even list the 191's on their site as they were such limited production. But they are C5 replicas and look sweet with a full machined face.

EDIT: Oh and about fitment. I have full turning radius and no rub with 5 people and two of my stock 15" steelies in the trunk. Thank god for progressive rear springs. lol.

I want to stay at the stock 16" rim size!

So - where's this "recipie"? What offset range? What width? 16"x7"? What about tires, seeing as how the 195/50/R16 is a tough size - what else will work with no problems? I wouldn't mind if the car had a slightly wider stance with 16's - so what offset would be my max (or minimum, is it?) to get 16's as far out in the wheel wells with NO rubbing issues?

Stock wheels are 16x6" +50mm offset. That should be in the FAQ.
There aren't a lot of tires other than 195/50R16 that will fit on such a skinny rim. 205's and 215's specs usually say they're fitted for a 7" rim.
Try searching on Tirerack and see what comes up.
The new Dunlop FM901 will fit stock size, and the Toyo T1-S might come in a size that will fit (but Tirerack doesn't carry Toyo tires).

Well, that sucks for me. Looks like I'll have to buy tires, too if I want to buy rims. I don't see ANY 16"x6" rims made anywhere.

But, when searching on tirerack.com - when I choose a 16x7 rim, the recommended tire size is the same as stock: 195/50/R16 - is this possible? How can our rims, which are 6" wide, use the same tires as a 7" wide wheel??

Most tires can be used on a range of rim sizes - in your case, the 195 (195 mm = 7.7") is wide enough to fit properly on a 7" rim (I have 15x7s with 195/50/15s on my VW), but the 205, and especially the 215, is on the wide side for a 6" rim. If the tire is too wide or too narrow for the rim, you can run into some problems with the seating of the bead I believe.

If you can find a 16,7 with a +45 offset, then I'd run a 215/45/16. That's a sweet frikin' size and matches up very well with the stock rolling diameter.

Otherwise, 205/45/16 I guess. Then you can do a +42 and higher on the 7" width.

I'm doing this in my head so they are approximations.

racing hart is selling the mp3 wheels in the aftermarket. i'm assuming they are identical to the OEM wheels (17x7 with 50mm+ offset).
i'm thinking of putting a set on my p5, with 215x45x17 tires, and eibach springs (about 1.3" drop).
any idea if they'll rub?

what are the width and offset of guru's 19's Iworkin on a set of racing hart C2's, every fool in az with a civic rolls 17's, and every fool with a accord rolls 18's, i gotta step it up

We had them custom done to a +47 offset by shaving the wheel pads 2mm. Giovanna did this for us so we could fit the wheels slammed without any problems.

If you have a sedan the +45 should work fine. Let us know if you want a set.

I'm looking at the Katana K5 or K6 or the Axis Neos in 18's what tire would work with that???

I've got a question. If I were to put on 18x7 rims with a 45mm offset on a P5, would I rub? According to the recipe, I wouldn't. But, what kind of drop would that allow? I'm sure it wouldn't work too well with a 2" drop. Would a 1.5" drop work?

I saw a P5 with 18x7.5 (i think it was) and it was rubbing with a 1.7" drop. They were looking to roll the fenders and said that's the only way to go with 18's. I really don't want to roll the fenders.
