What would you like to see for our cars??

This is a simple thread to see what performance pieces you guys would like to see made/sold for our cars. I'll check my connections and see what I can get done. Just leave your comments here.

1. Custom ITB intake manifold

What is the opening size on the intake manifold?? I may be able to get this for us...I'll see if I can measure the opening on the intake mani and see what would fit well. I' have done this on other cars and it doesn't produce much of a gain until the upper rpm's. Turbo cars will see a good gain. Anyone know what the stock TB size is?? I think a 60-65mm would be good. I'll see what I can do.

What do you think a fair price is for something like this so I'll know what kind of budget to work with.

1. don't know
2. gains are good as well as a better response from the throttle body (this was noticeable on both the 65mm & 70mm FC throttle bodies we had on our turbo focus)
3. don't know
4. cool! thanks.

you just clarified my point....the gains were good on a TURBO car. I'd like to see what a larger TB makes on just a NA car with an intake.

1. Any Performance parts for the 1.6L
2. Any Performance parts for the 1.6L
3. Any Performance parts for the 1.6L
4. ....

get the idea ?

P.S. A larger Throttle Boy will do jack sh** on an NA unless its so highly modified that its not even streetable

I like the idea of teh intake mani, as long as its affordable and the numbers are there. I wouldnt bother with the TB a few companies already make them although competition seems to drive the prices down. For a company to begin making a new product that already exists though may not be worth it for them with the limited market of buyers actually willing to drop a few $$. More internal parts are always wanted but I just dont see the market there to make it worth the manufacturers R&D costs. But if you can get anything made by all means go for it

what is the stock size of the TB and what do they bore them to? This isn't OT....this is helping.

I planned on buying a few 60-65mm TB's from other cars and creating an adapter plate/spacer to fit it up....my cost would be the TB and the adapter plate...possibly a $.35 gasket also...

just to make a point. Corksport already offers a bigger TB for the 2.0L, its a bit expensive, but they are developing their own which should be affordable. My response has nothing to do with enthusiasm. This is not the first car i've tried to modify. I had 280z and 280zx which had lots more aftermarket support and motor swaps,etc..I did the popular TB swap from the 240sx...It did NOTHING for the car...I regretted doing it and it only costed me like $60...a TB for this car will be MUCH more and yield even less(well maybe not, cant be less than nothing, lol) Trying to avoid you losing $250- $350 for a TB when it could be spent much more wisely if you want power
