I would rather take a Jap than a domestic any day! WOW so what if the Stang has big power.... It takes that much more gas to make the dag thing move that fast. I don't care how many people might smoke me in their bad a$$ domestic... i'm still a jap baby!

If domestics were so big and bad then they should stop biting off of jap's technology! Also we wouldn't see dumb articles talking about "honda killer" or "import pounder".

Hey you want a Stang... go for it!! but i'll be passing you while ur filling you gas tank up for the 10th time that night!

If they did everybody would be driving 400hp 4cylinders,800-1100hp 6cylinders,1000-5000hp 8cylinders and so on. If you think you motor is so efficent why do you need a turbo? Also there would be no need for any after market performance parts manafacturers.
I owned a 99 mustang gt it redlined at 6700rpm.
I also owned a 99 dodge dakota club cab r/t with a mopar pcm, vortec supercharger it redlined at 6200 rpm and ran low 13's at the track. Not bad for a 4200lb truck.
So your motor reving to 7000 rpm is not that big of a deal.
Nascars using old pushrod tech red line at 12000rpm.

Do you even know why your motor revs so high?

I would rather you look it up like i did. I'm not here to spoon feed you the answers.

By the way if the domestic market was so great then why do they depreciate so fast? And why do I see all the little cars smoke the stang on speedvision every week? ( It must be my eyes lying to me )

It gets really annoying when everyone says I would take this and I would take that. In reality all of you would take any car if it was just given to you. Plus for those who say they would take a mustang, camaro, jap car, whatever over what ever else then good for you. Why dont you people just be happy with what you bought or can afford. About the Protege vs. Mustang, nobody really cares about these kinds of stories unless you have proof to back it up. i.e. "I raced a 2001 porsche 911 turbo and I beat it. Heres how it happend.... I was driving along and suddenly I see my victim. Bright red porsche 911 ahead on my right. I quickly downshift to 2nd and bring my RPM's to 5000 and blast by him. I then work the shifter to its full potential and finally end up with 30 car lengths between us. "That 911 was OWNED" Of course then the guy who owns the porshe comes out of the shop put his groceries in his car gets in and drives off. This is probably how most people with proteges beat the HI Performance cars. That includes my P5. I think im done. Sigh.
