And 20 is pushing it depending on what year u wanna buy. not to mention u dont have to pay as much taxes or innsurence on a miata as u do a vette or stang ...Jon

You guys ever heard of a "Monster Miata"?? There was a company that yanked the stock engine/trans, and stuffed a Ford v8/trans in. They went outta business a few years ago, but still, I would like to drive one!!!!!

Hell no!! I don't wanna die!!!! I used to have a hot rod '57 oval window VW bug, huge engine with all the goodies. That damn car wanted to seriously go airborne at about 110. One of the scariest rides I've ever been on.
Even 150mph on my Gsxr doesn't scare me like the bug did.

However, I've reaearched this class quite a bit, and most SM racers seem to agree that the relatively slow speed is part of the fun because it keeps the racing safe and the cars don't eat brakes and tires very quickly, making it much cheaper than many other SCCA classes.
