Not a big fan of APC. They remind me of an ugly chick who thinks that the more make-up she puts on, the better she looks. And APC has a room full of ugly chicks. I know it is just my opinion, but clean looking cars make a better statement than the paint by number route they take with all their cars. Trying to get clearance from the tower before take off because of those big *** wings must suck. I think APC is the Mimi (from Drew Carey) of aftermarket parts manufacturers. You want something that looks like ***, buy something from APC. Their parts are stocked right next to the toilet paper aisle 9.

Wow, I really just thought it was cool that some official company had a protege as one of their cars to show off. Sorry you guys don't care for them. Had I known they were this unpopular and unfashionable, I would have stayed in my coma.
Later.

Don't take it personal Lance...like I said it was just my opinion. It's a matter of taste. I say if you like it, run with it. But I am just of the philosophy that less is more. Not into "sticker-charging", big wings, and non-functional add-ons.
I would be more appreciative of APC (or any other Company that wants to build parts for the protege) if they built parts that could enhance the handling and performance of the cars. Not just the "look at me" factor.

Didn't take it personal. Like I said, I was just happy to see someone showing off a protege as a mod car. It doesn't help protege owners that mazda isn't officially in any rally events or anything like that. I get all tickled when I see ANYTHING about a protege in a magazine like SuperStreet or other fast-jap car mags. I don't care if it's about a Sedan, Pro5, or MP3, I just like seeing it gain recognition.

I agree...but I believe recognition is on it's way. Real recognition. A Company called RLR has just gotten delivery of a 4 door protege from Mazda. They are apparently working in conjunction with Mazda to make a Protege competitive in the Quick class. They are predicting it to be the fastest FWD four door in the world. See the link below.
