its easy with front wheel drive. to start out, put your emergency brake on since it locks the rear wheels. then go nuts! oh, it helps get the wheels spinning if they are wet, and i can get mine going with the engine at about 3500 rpm.

I've got a 5 speed, so it's really easy for me... Rev her up to 4000 or so, then just dump the clutch and punch it! Really cool! But dude, doing neutral-drops is REALLY bad for your tranny. Instead, consider oiling the tires with some old motor oil (we do this at school in mechanics in an old 350ci Grand LeMans) and lock the E-Brake. Now, just punch it, and given that you have enough oil on the tires, they'll spin, and after a few seconds, all of the oil will be off the tires, so on comes the smoke!

In all seriousness, your tranny will f*ck itself up after too many of those. Just a pointer!

yes both tires where spinning and the ground was dry...I did it for about 10 mins but lots of the picks didnt work..there was about 10 pictures of the burn out and then we ran out of film also I did have the e-brake on..that is the only way to do it in the same spot for that long but after this week end at the car show in portland I will have more pics of my car with the 17s ....not burning out and the only reason I did the burn out was because my friends were doing it in there cars to see who could do it for the longest... I think the longest was in a 92 honda accord and that was about 3 minutes long..then they said my car had no power and that my car couldn't even do as good as the accord that was there...so that is why I did it so that the Protege didn't look like a puss and I stopped about 10 mins later and the pro could have went longer but I had to stop because I had no other tires at the time.....lost lots of rubber because when I was done we mad a ball of rubber that was the size of a baseball

nice burnout, i wouldnt do that with a new car...jus cause of my friends pass exp with burnouts. He threw out his clutch, when he did a burnout. he popped it back really slow, then again he did it really quick. and it fucked the clutch up.

But i think he jus doesnt know how to do a "CORRECT" Burnout
