read the thread properly. he was never privy to any company secrets, just information that had already been released elsewhere.

what honda did is indefensible but then they don't have to defend it when they can pressure the company he worked for.

and by the way, i don't know too many companies that would have you murdered if you somehow let it slip that they haven't installed Q320920: Security Update (Windows Media Player for Windows XP) on any of their servers yet. deadly force? umm, i don't think so but if that's a fact, then more power to you and i hope you never get blamed for a leak.

#1 its the guys fault for not haveing common sense
#2 Honda is a good company which makes good quality cars (you can't argue this)
#3 ANY COMPANY anywhere would of done the same thing, Company secrets are to REMAIN company secrets. i think everyone knows this
#4 if i were him i woulda kept my mouth shut because i have been in alot of companies buildings (server rooms mainly) and i know their info is secret and is kept secret with the use of deadly force.
#5 that is BS that you blame a company for trying to keep its secrets. competition is competition, you don't screw around with big companies or they will make you disapear
Couldn't disagree with you more.... on every point.

I'm with you Makaveli... From my viewpoint the guy did nothing wrong. All the information he could have 'leaked' was already avalible to the press. PLUS he didn't have to sign any confidentiality forms. So no, it's NOT common sense to keep your yap shut. I was touring a mazda plant and saw an MS Pro I'd be all over that **** up on this board, and I doubt they'd contact my employer and get me fired.

Sure, honda does make good reliable (ugly) cars, that doesn't mean I have to like them. After all this, I sure as hell don't think too highly of them. Honda =
