The reason I am leaving the Honda/Acura scene (lamers) *long*

This new guy posted on the accordclub boards with a post saying, "You think you know more about Accords than me?" as his first post, and was quickly shot down by all of us who actually "know" about them. He then put up a post about 1/4 mile times, and I stated the fact I race from a rolling start, and if he was looking for good 1/4 mile times to do the H22a swap (Prelude Vtec) anyways, I got this hate message sent to my message box on accordclub..
----------------------------------------------------
I was looking for...

Times, not recommendations on how to pull off on rolling starts. I'd probably pull off on your car pal... Read the Thread before you post, answer the questions people ask, you should have figured that out, you're a "Silver Stage Member", right? Silver Stage member to me says you spend too much time on your pc, and not enough on your car, you probably don't know sh*t. So don't tell me what to do with my car, trust me, I'm way ahead of you.
----------------------------------------------------

Rather conceited are we? He is assuming his car is faster than mine, however after listing the few mods he has and the fact he has an Automatic his chances of pulling on me are far from slim, they are "none". He seems to think he can hit 13's on his NA SOHC non vtec 93 Accord Man I am slowly losing respect for the honda/acura scene, it seems just more and more idiots get one every day Can't wait til I graduate and can move on, I have taken this board on full time now, don't even go on the honda/acura boards anymore, I am gonna get an MP5 and plan on knowing all that I can about em before I buy one. Thank you for the great board guys!

hey welcome to the board, well i know that most of the honda crowd are cool , but sometimes there is always one person , that is just a real dic** .. anyhow, my boy has a 2000 accord, I have to install some springs on it tomorrow night . it is a sweet ride, .The P5 is a nice ride, but my only problem with is it the horsepower, I like to have a minimum of 150 hp in a car, basically for the use of carrying 4 people , wich I rarely do , or just basic driving fun ..

just so you know travis...

the plan for Mazda is to bring out the next generation Protege for the 2004 model year (which is 2 years from now!). In all likelyhood 2003 will be the last year for the current generation Protege/Protege5....

just some FYI for our new Pro enthusiast

Welcome travis!
The mazda-people are, of course, a lot nicer than the honda-people. The logical explanation for this is that the hondaguys are driving crappy cars, and therfore are angry, bitter, crappy people. We, on the other hand, are driving good quality, fun to drive cars and that is showing on our mood and in how we treat other people.

Yes definately gonna check out the 2003 Turbo I find it funny that nearly every modded civic or prelude or whatnot that I run into "think" that I am an easy win cause I have an accord..Or better yet, I had a supercharged b18c5 (Integra Type R) motor in my 1995 Civic Coupe, I left the EX Emblems on it, lowered on some nice 16" rims..I didn't street race often, it was a pure AutoX car, but every now and then I would have some dumbass in a GSR or even better a Type R roll up on me at a light and talk ****. You would think the PSI guage amongst others hanging off my guage pod would make people think twice? Needless to say, I ran mid 11's on my 16" rims, and from a rolling start, oh my I have built several fast hondas, but true 'fast' hondas are rare, too many ricers doing b16 (Civic Si DOHC Vtec) swaps and staying NA and wondering why they are getting passed by stock Prelude Vtec's I need to move on, and try something new. I see a lot of potential in these cars, and can't wait for the Turbo model to come out and beat the snot out of the Honda/Acura cars

Welcome to the board, travis! I can feel your pain. I have a few good friends with hondas that are just the greatest guys in the world, like me they respect ALL kind of cars, they're not honda-snobs or anything. But now since I'm up at school, I see A LOT of riced honda's, and I haven't seen any of them with some actual go-fast goodies.

My friend has a '95 Civic hatch (or '94 whatever the last year for the EG style was) and he just got a civic type-r engine put in it. I haven't gotten a chance to ride in it yet, but he says it's plenty fast. Another friend of mine has a really clean CRX. He's saving for some sort of engine swap right now. Whatever it is, it will be a quick car.

Anyways, welcome to the board, it's always nice to have another educated member around.
