So mazda 3 2.3's can bolt that intake manifild right up? i new they were compatible but i thought that there had to be some sort of engineering involved

from wat i read, there is no intake manifold made for our cars. ppl just use the ford duratec ones. and those are cable throttles, so if you bought one for your car, you would have to route a cable throttle system.

HELL NO!!!
lets see, a cat back is $500+, an intake is $300+, and headers are $500
you've already passed $1200, and made maybe 20-30hp over stock. so i think 150whp on a 2.3L??

well i already have an intake and cat back.....i dont have headers, but i already have atleast 800 right there...so if i spent another $1200 would it be possible? i mean i know i can get headers, pulleys, and.......thats all i can think of but i know that wont get me up to 200 whp, and possibly would have to to some software change of some sort if i got pulleys

ya you could get over 200hp with only $800. all you need is just a water-methanol injection. and yes its possible on a n/a engine. but thats the loser way out of it. so i really dont suggest anyone doing it.

ya it actually could but only after a good number of uses. so after you add that on and do 200+hp then go ahead and swap out ur internals for some forged. theyl take the cumbustion a lot easier and then go and do everything else to your car.

i suppose you could still do a lighweight flywheel, and a pulley kit.
then possibly get a standalone, cuz apparentely the mazda3 ECU's catch on if you have a piggyback.

No, you might be able to get 200HP at crank with 1200

For $1400 you can get Pulleys, cai, header (it's header btw, not headers..) and a cbe can probably get you close to 200 crank probably around 160 wheel.

Exactly it's not practical so there's really no point in mentioning it =S

Is it worth it to you? Keep in mind selling the 3, and then adding $4000 may buy you a MazdaSpeed 3, which is around 260~ hp.

263 hp to be exact.

then you can add fun stuff, like BOV's and such.
i saw an upgraded turbo kit for it once, i think it upped the horsepower to 300ish
