I have considered doing that but i dont think its possible to get a mazdaspeed 3 used without it being ragged out by its first owner, or for around $14,000. if i could find a good one for 14,000......i would sell my 3 in a heartbeat for one but i can only get around 14,000 for mine, atleast thats what kbb is saying

Bring your 3 to a dealer, tell them you will give them the keys and $4000 cash for an MS3. I bet they take it, Mazdaspeed models don't move like they would like them to.

your meaning a new 07 speed3? are they seriously not that popular that the dealerships are trying to get rid of them?

The Mazdaspeed line has never moved very quickly. Depending on the condition of your 3, I think they would rather take a small hit on the MS3, and then sell your 3 to someone else used for a couple grand profit.

That way they make money on 2 car sales. An MS3 to you, and your car to someone else.

Most dealers would rather do that than have a slow selling Mazdaspeed car on the lot.

Don't most/all automatics come stock with a tranny cooler? That is what the 2 nozzles under the radiator is for IIRC.

im not sure about that one but i think that they would put one. and if they did then it woulent be anything really good. just like everything else the manufacturer sells you, its always just barely sufficient enough to do what you need it to do.

theres been a black speed3 here in burlington since, uh, May or so, and its been in the same spot for quite a while. im tempted to offer a trade (my modded 3 for a stock MS3). but the only thing stopping me is the insurance.

actually, the last time i drove past mazda of burlington, there was (IIRC), 2 black speeds, and 1 white one, however, there was a sign on the white one saying it had already been sold.

wow ive never seen a white one. although i have a red one that lives right behind me and a black one that lives right here in the neighborhood. the black one is by some kid of course and the red one is owned by some older guy that knows what he has and is modest about it i guess.

Mazdaspeed 6 has been discontinued

Get em while they're still around. More ponies and AWD may make it a better choice than the MS3.

well its not surprising seeing as to how mazda was hoping that it would compete with the evo and wrx. but that was only in theory with the awd and turbo, and when it came to real life it didnt quiet make it.

so im pretty sure they're just going to remake it and then bring it back out better than before.

It does compete with an evo and wrx =P

But I don't think it was supposed to? The speed6 was in a class of it's own. It's a larger sedan, whereas the evo and wrx are based on economy sedans.

Yeah, the MS6 was supposed to be an upscale cruiser, like a BMW 5 series.

It wasn't a rally racer like the EvO.

I would bet against this deal your talking 14000 at best for your trade + 4000 = 18000 for new MS3. Keep dreaming
