As do I in my Miata...but they match colour-wise, and they're there for a reason...that being my wife finds that the belt chafes her neck, so this is the perfect compromise. Can be used as a nifty pillow too, if tucked under your chin for short naps when in the passenger seat.
No one dares take a nap while riding in my car

I have the shoulder pads too... funny though they came with my car and first thought was "their gone" but damn are they comfortable!

Richard, I never thought about using them as pillows, wow, there's an idea.
Mine are yellow to match my new seat covers which are black/yellow.

Black Mazdaspeed Protege will be sweeeeeet. They should make only 500 orange ones since most of the people will want the black ones. I wouldn't mind an orange one though, looks pretty nice to me.

I don't know about you guys. But if its only gonna be 170hp, I am gonna be a little disappointed. The eclipse came with 210, the new neon is coming with 205. IMO, there is just no reason a turbo car should be made that makes less than 200. Its a waste. It is nice that they are gonna put a limited slip in it. Very nice in fact. But you won't really appreciate until MORE horsepower arrives. Of course, you can always just turn up the horsepower, I mean boost.

just think, since it has an fs engine... how hard would it be to get it up to the hp you're looking for? drop the fs-ze intake/exhaust cams in, and maybe grab a new ecu for it with a small shot of the giggly juice. you're gonna end up modifying it eventually anyway right? i don't know much about FI, but you can get more boost than 5psi out of the stock turbo right while still keeping it on the safe side with the stock internals?

Something else just occured to me as well....if in fact the turbo is gonna be the Garret T25, the same as the stock eclipse turbo, then it would suffice to say that it would be just as easy to swap in a 16G, or a 20g.

Oooh. Now things are getting interesting....

I can't wait 'till we get an owner of MS Protege on this board!!! Then we can get him to experiment for us, and provide us with tons of pictures to satisfy partially my hunger for owning one
