I called Mazda USA to find what # off the production line my Mazda mp3 was. To top it off i have a yellow one. I was told i was 1228 off the line total and i was #70 of the Yellows. and i have been told many times here and other places they only made 500 yellows in fact it is less than that. Mazda only made 320 yellow mp3's thats about 6 per state. I just thought i would inform everyone on my finding. Any one else can do this if you call Mazda usa and tell them your vin # and they will give you most the info that you want.

 

How many per state? I know of 2 different dealers in St. Lous that have almost a dozen Yellow ones, and that is only 2 of 5 dealerships and I know the other have atleast one or two more.

 

mp3s, not P5s..... unless those dealers bought all of them hehe gready bastards, didn't see any in Canada, I don't think we got any

 

In edmonton the dealers got some. I know the westend dealer even had one 2 weeks ago. Seems someone bought it, put 3000km on it, and then returned it. Seems they thought the ride was too rough, so they traded it in.
I put an offer on it, but they wanted way too much. They wanted 26K for it, which is above the list price. Damm greeey bastards!!
I did not go that high, since I can mod my car for cheaper to get that 10hp gain (injen cai and cat-back would be enough). THe looks were nice, but no anti-lock brakes and NO SUNROOF!!! What a bummer.
