Turbo Manifold question

Thomas Knight at boosthead.com said that the 323GTX manifold or the B6T manifold on the Mecury Capri will fit my 1.6L 3rd Gen Pro...is this right??? If so I've been chasing my tail a little bit....I gave him my engine code and everything....somebody let me know...I know the two engines share some parts but will the manifold bolt up too????

Hmmm... Well I'd be careful what Thomas Knight says, he's pretty much a joke around here.... Anyways, the 1.6l engines in 2000 were ZM-DE, and the the 323 engines were B6. I'm not so sure what, if any parts the engines share. It may be the same block, but the ZM-DE has a dohc head. Sorry I can't be more helpful, it just sounds fishy to me. I know braden was making a turbo kit for the 1.6l engines, and I think he had to custom-fab a manifold, so I'd say no the 323gtx manifold wouldn't work.

ok well the Z series 1.6L is just an evolution of the B6...the short block is identical, but I'm pretty sure(I dont claim to be an expert)the exhaust ports are on the head which is different than the B6....my question is will the manifold still fit??? If so I can do a turbo cheap because I already have access to a VJ-11 turbo which is better than the stock GTX turbo and still bolts directly to it...is there anybody out there that knows for sure

well they arent infallible, but according to Solo Miata's Mazda 4 cyl history the Z series and the B6 shortblock are the same...the heads are completely different, which is why I want to make sure before I put out any money on the manifold since thats where the exhaust ports are...(arent they??)
