GTX/GTR Turbo Manifold

Are these manifolds any good??? Like.... Are they prone to cracking in any spots?? What kind of HP is achievable?? Can/Has anyone mounted an external wastegate??

Thanks for any help!!

Supposedly they hold up pretty good. Unless you plan on changing the turbo there's no point in getting an external wastegate.

I would like to run a large T3 for my goals (I have a nice TB0313 that I got a sweet deal on) which means it would be best for me to have a manifold made; but if I can save some money I will go with the GTX manifold and use a IHI.

I want to run an external wastegate because I had a not so fun thing happen to me (involves massive detonation), and I am confident it wouldnt have a hppened had I been running an ex. wastegate. But to start off I will run lower boost levels (about .5 bar) so I wouldnt need one right away I guess.....

Also... my ultimate goal is about 300whp from a BP, which wont be to hard to get in my opinion.

Thanks!!

Yeah if you're going to get a mani made anyways, I'd go with an external wastegate too. They're more reliable and more customizable.

If your detonation problem was due to overboost, an external wastegate is not going to completely safeguard you from it. Replacing a good internal wastegate with a cheap/crappy external would prove worse.

Yes.... it was a major overboost problem. Went from 15 to around 23psi in almost an instant. KABOOM!! It sucked. Dont woory though, I will deff get a really good one; not gonna let that happen again.
