Question interested

I'm definantly interested but i have some ?'s first. like how much total are we looking at for the system, how sure are you that the car can handle it, and are there other things i will have to change do to the large increase in horse power; such as a new manual transmission or anything.

While i am interested, since i'm just finishing college I really can't afford to drop $3,000 into my engine to raise it to 150-180 hp. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a new better engine with that kind of hp?
I believe my current engine only has hp around 90 something i have added a K&N air filter but don't really think i've noticed much difference in performance. is there anything else i can do to get my car a bit over 100 maybe up to 120 hp without spending in the thousands of dollars?

I figured i would go ahead and say it before anybody esle did.... NOS will do the trick if you are looking to get quick and cheap power. Depending on what brand and kit you get, you can spend anywhere from 300-600 dollars.

thanks

NOS is definantly not what i want, isn't that just for quick bursts? plus hardcore illegal? I just want an over all increase to get a little above 100. I'm not into racing and stuff, just want some better performance i guess. if i can't do it any other way i am thinking of just putting a better motor into my car cause that will be a lot cheaper than turbo.

I agree with you guys too, but i figured someone was going to say it eventually so I just went ahead and saved them a couple minutes typing it. If I could supercharge my 1.5 it would be great. I dont want power that comes from a "steroid" like TheMAN said.

The manifold with T3 turbo is $800. The turbo itself is $500. Brand new, with wastegate.

This groupbuy was put together for members of the 1.5L community wanting to be different and increase the power of their rides. We will be making, 1.6L, 1.8L, and 2.0L manifolds after this buy.

I have received confirmation from 5 people and received no deposits. This bothers me, I will have to scrap this project if no one is serious about it. We are only opening up opportunities for the 2nd gen that no one else was willing to do. Hope that some of you guys can make this happen for the rest.

confused on price

I'm a bit confused on the price. I thought it was going to be around three thousand for the turbo but from reading the post a bit beforethis one it appears that you are saying only 800 for the turbo and manifold and 500 for just the turbo? Is that really all or am I misunderstanding? sorry if i'm way off in no where on this but i am still learning about engines and such.

This buy is only for the turbo and manifold. You will supply the piping and intercooler if wanted and any other bolt on or wire in gadgets that you would like to run.

It would be $800 for turbo and manifold with 5 buyers. $500 for the turbo alone. If you'd like to spend $3000 on just these two items I could find a turbo to suit your nature, lol.

1.5L Turbo???

Any new word on that, is the deal still good? What other costs might be incurred, ie shipping and all that? So $1300 for a turbo and manifold, sounds pretty good to me.

Can I put it on layaway? LOL
