Please keep us updated on any problems you run into, i.e. massive torque steer, clutch problems, etc...

I am considering this kit for my car but I'm worried about problems the extra power will cause.

You might never have the opportunity, but it will be a good day when you drag a new mazdaspeed Pro and smoke him.

The only problem I have running this kit at 8 PSI is the Wheel hope that make quick start very diffucult and the wheels can break loose even in second gear when fullboost hits. Although my all but bald front tires aren't helping either of these.

Other then that the clutch is no worse thenbefore but the idle seems to be a universal problem with alot of modded proteges.

Hey Linuxninja, your setup sounds like the ****. Seeing as you had the FS-ZE engine which upped your horse power to about 170, then put on the turbo, not to mention the job the mechanics did before you put the turbo on, you should be pushing like 230 horsies, probably 200 at the wheel. Just a rough estimate. Did you get the thing dynoed or what? Did you spank any mustangs or other "tough" cars? Lets see some info on power and some pics please. Thanks.

Hit the race section for my kills so far. I posted them yesterday. Now about the FS-ZE, I never had the full 160 HP due to tuning, and OBDII. That's right, the 170 PS (Japanese) is really like 160 (US). As you know, I changed my compression back to the 9.1:1 for the turbo, so my engine is pretty much like the US-spec execpt for the cams. My advice to anyone trying to decide between the FS-ZE and turbo, GET THE TURBO!!! You will have plenty of REAL power on tap that comes on strong, and you won't have to wonder if the engine you got from Japan is a lemon!
