Lightbulb Take a look at My Sport20 -turbo prototype pic

A guy I know added this little scooper on the hood of my Sport20 AWD using Photoshop. Would't it be great if Mazda would do the same?

I cant say that I like the hood scoop but I do like the car itself.
I put the same front end on my sedan with the addition of the FS-ZE and Autoexe lip. http://www.cardomain.com/id/sport20 you can see pics of it here.

Very nice! Did you try to time it for 0-60 or 1/4 mile?

I cant say that I have raced it. I just got done re-installing the header yestarday and plan on taking it to the track either next friday or the following one. I will let you know th results.

How about yourself, have you ever done it? (1/4 mile) Im curious to see how they compare.

I did not try it yet. From the pictures your exhaust manifold is different than mine and your version of the FS-ZE engine also. My car was bought in year 2000.

This is what I have under the hood:

You will find a few differences.

That's a rather large intake that you ahve there! The hood scoops aren't too bad especially if you could make them functional for that intake.

My Sport20 is a 2000 model. The scooper on the hood was taken from a Toyota Celica.

At stock level, it is 170HP. If you change the manifolds, muffler, intake, throttle, etc, you can approach 190-200 HP. A turbo in there would be awesome and produce easily 230-250 HP.

Here is the link for Autoexe parts, including body kits.

You can use babelfish to translate. On the right of the page, you will find some cool Sport20 that are heavily modified.

My car is a 2000 also. I do see the differences that you are talking about. In the U.S. we have a catalytic converter right under the exhaust manifold heat shield. (Can we say robs lots of power) So that explains that difference. As you saw tho I got rid of that with the header I installed...big difference!

I also have a different type of coil-pack. Yours I know, are hidden under the valve cover-cover. In 2000 they hadn't switched to your type over here yet. Thats all just location tho. Other than that the engines are the same.

Do you mind if I use a pic of your car and engine on my website for comparison reasons?

Again nice car!!!!

Sure you can use the pictures if you want. If there are any parts you would like to have close-ups of, let me know.
