I have installed the JL Tr's in my P5. Like 1st MP3 in NH said. For the price you can't go wrong. I am not running a amp to them at this moment, but my deck pushes them just fine. I have the 5x7s up front and the 6 1/2 in the rear. I had to drill my own hole in the frame of the speaker to mount it. Here is a pic of my 5x7

Good choice on the TR's I actualy used them to retune our soundboard with a kicker 3 channel amp and 3 JL 10W0s, XRs were on the amped channels.

By the way there is no such thing as a 1000/5 JL amp, theres a 1000/1, 500/5, 500/1, 300/2, 300/4, and 250/1

Thats weird, cause I was tlod by the guy I do all of my business with told me about it. Maybe it was the 1000/1. Well any how I don't need all that power anymore. I am down to one sub so I think I will shoot for the 500/5 to run my set up. I used to be in it for the comp, but now I just like a little bass when I roll.

The 500/5 gives you 100x2 for the fronts, 25x2 for the rears and 250 x 1 for the sub.

If you got money to toss, Boston Acoustic Z6's all around with a 13" JL W7 for a tad-o-bass.

4 of those speakers and the one subwoofer = $3,300

Speakers

I put Blaupunkt 5x7 in the front and 6x9 in the rear of my 2001 es

you can get them from sounddomain.com for reasonable prices and I did the whole thing for under 150$ and a few hours

(yes I need to get an amp, and sub, but this is step 1)

Or
Infinity KAPPA572.5CF (5x7) in the front and Infinity KAPPA63.5I (6 ½) in the back.

Considering that there are individuals on the board which have installed these into their vehicles I am hoping to get a good consensus on which be more worthwhile to get.

I will also be getting these through www.onlinecarstereo.com.

So any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Also because the pocket in front is a 5x7 would a 5 1/8 fit well in that area?

Or should I get the Kappa fronts and Focals in the back. The reason why I am staying away from this is because many boards have recommended staying with the same brands for both front and backs.

Finally ordered the Infinity Kappa's through ikesound.com, took almost a week and a half to get to Seattle, but I would expect that if they were shipped from Florida.

I will install these baby's this weekend. Next month I will start shopping for a new head unit. Then amp.

Wow...time really flew bye the last time I posted to this thread.
