Sound Deadening

Has anyone installed Dynamat or any other sound deadening material on P5 doors..

I figured Mazda would make it a pain to remove door panels. I am wondering, does the plastic piece go behind the speaker in door or cut around it?

When completely covering door & all holes with B-Quiet (Dynamat) Brown Bread do I have to place that plastic piece back on the door or not? What is it's major purpose, Moisture protection???

Let me know.. Any help appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

You have got it right on the head, it is a mosture barrier, and yes, you should replace it.
The panels are not that hard to remove in my book. Just make sure to take out the clips and the screw in the handle, a piece of cake!
Do some searchs on the site on the subject of deadening, there are some good post here!!

Good Luck and let us know how the project turns out!
