I've seen people with leather seats. How do I get them? How much do they cost? Can i get them in tan? What do you do about the rear seat?

Is corksport the only place to get JDM tails? I've been lookin for some kinda new tail light but don't really wanna shell out 250 for them. Is there an altezza out there for the gen 2? i'm not really into that look with my car but they're worth crackin open and painting.

Where can i get clear bumper lights to replace the red ones in the rear bumper? I've seen them in some picture but I can't remember where and who had them.

Grills....Anybody ever made one or what do you have on the front of your pro and where did you get it from....and most of all how much did it cost. I'm looking for somethin under $30.

Anybody ever put on one of the DIY window tinting kits? If so please show pics and price and add any comments. I'll probably get that professionally done unless somebody can convince me otherwise.

Lowering springs....what all does it take to drop a car and how much will that cost? Looking to drop 2 inches all around.

i'm not going to tell you how to fix up your car. you need to figure most of it out for yourself. but... heres some help...

Unless you know someone overseas, CS is your best bet for anything JDM.

GOTO autoleathers.com. for custom leather kits for your car, prices start at about 850$ not including shipping.

look around online for all the odds and ends for your car.

grills. make it yourself. put some elbow grease into it..

Dang man, I wasn't askin you to do my car for me cuz what's the fun in that???? I know what I want to do to it I was just askin for some tips and hints. I'm a big DIY person and plan to keep it that way. I've been in the miata world and could tell you whatever you needed to know about that but now I'm here on the protege side and am basically clueless. I did my sound system myself and I think it's sounds pretty nice I obviously don't have as much money as you do so I can't get as crazy with things. If I can make a 100 dollar piece for 10 dollars than I'm all for it. I think askin around on here is worth 90 dollars don't you? I've put in my time with searches and looking around ebay and all kinds of stores on the internet and around home. If nobody's gonna help anybody on here and if this is just a place to showcase your ride than go to cardomain.com....I thought that's what that's for. On miata.net if I had a problem I'd have people from all around trying and working to help me and to get what I needed. If that's not the way things work here than I'll sell the pro and buy another damn miata. Sorry for wasting your time by trying to do what I thought this site was for...........

ok lets see if i cna be of a little more assistance...there are no altezza's for 2nd gens....as far as the JDM lights $250 actually isnt bad...considering average on Altezza's for 3rd gens is about $175+ anyway....DIY window tinting, not a good idea...pay a shop $100 bucks and they'll do it right!! its worth the money.....lowering springs are a good idea, but not unless you buy the struts to match them..if you dont change the struts youll blow out your stock struts prematurely and get that "ghetto bounce" when you go over bumps of any kind..the springs alone though FYI are about $200...H & R or Ground Control or Tein probably makes a decent set for your car....another leather option might be katskinz...they make custom fit leather seat covers....look so good they look like you had your seats redone in leather...not sure about pricing but I imagine its cheaper than $850..I made my mesh grill out of aluminum rain gutter grating from home depot for about $5..i think they look good....hope that helps!

sorry, didn't mean to sound so mean in my response to your message. it must have been in my wording.

from your original mesage it just sounded as though you wanted everything put out in a platter for you. sorry for my mis interpretation.


lowering springs as with any car are same anywhere else pretty much, installation as well. JDM tails, you just have to look around. i didn't mean anything bad by it. grills. the only thing to really do is to actually take your grill apart and see what you need to replace.


FYI.. besides the rough engine install and the actual painting of my car, everything for the most part was customed by myself. from the install of my sound system to the tuning of my HALTECH stand-alone ECU.
