Lots of road tar

My car is covered in road tar almost entirely. I can get it of with the spray tar remover but is it safe to use it on the whole car? What kind of soap can I use that would do the same thing? I have tried using dish soap but it doesnt get any of it off. This happens almost every time I go driving now, since it has been raining since early November.

Turtle wax makes a "bug and tar" remover. I also got some Mother's bird and tar wipes, but haven't tried them yet.

You should probably wax after using the wipes. And wax where you used the dish soap too...that'll strip wax off fairly easily.
