lighting

how would i go about making lights blink in order,today i was out and seen this guy turning and he had leds and the blinked in the way he was turning. i was looking to do somthing like this. thanx

i would think you'd need a special module connected to each bulb individually with an output firing order of, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3 etc

never heard of one, never seen one, but i'm sure some electronics designer/engineer could whip one up pretty quick....know any?

the old mercury cougars did that. i suppose you could get a hold of a wiring diagram from one and disect it to figure out how they did it back then?

you could wire up a 555 timer / 4017 decade counter combination to the turn signal output. i was thinking of doing this at one point on my 92 LX, but it would have looked tacky having 5 LEDS sticking out of the side mirrors
