Well since i just got my 2003.5 p5 i can notice one thing. the 2003.5 also has a subwoofer in the spare tire. ya it sux alot but its better than a plain stock stereo. im used to having 400 true watts in my old 91 protege but this one is ok for a stock sub. and im not so sure about this but 2003.5 has nice dunlop ultra high performance tires too. i priced those on tirerack.com and they were $104 each. i can also add that i agree that this car is slightly underpowered but it really is a great ride. at highway speeds it has surprisingly good acceleration. i have automatic but i didnt buy the car to race people on the street, i got it to have fun and it is alot of fun.
