Two questions
Question one. - I recently bought one of those "10" hp chips off of ebay for my protege and was wondering if anyone picked this up before and installed it on a SOHC. Im not to sure exactly where to put it but hopefully ill get a responce..Also i get my cold air in tommorow...so ill install them both then since i have an "idea" of where its supposed to go.
Question two. - Just got my tach installed (very easy) and im just confused because the engine seems like its about to blow up by 4000-4200...and i know on a similar post everyone said its perfectly fine to push it to the claimed "5500" max HP RPM for the SOHC model. Any suggestions or is this not a safe thing to do for an old 91 (pre grandma driven) protege. I seem to be picking up quicker shifting at lower rpms then waiting for it to speed up to higher rpms....anyone have a good shift sequence they use for racing? (SOHC - 5 speed)
