more cam questions

I have done plenty of searches over and over and I find all kinds of different information. My question is about the J-spec intake and MS exhaust cams. Some people say their barely more aggressive than the stock cams and other people say they push the stock valve springs to its limits and that valva float might occur. What is true?
I already have the cams, but I haven't installed them yet. A friend of mine has them installed and his car is running fine.
Thanks
