your speedo can be right on at 60.70.80.90.100. But these cars are not ment to go that fast. They lack the aerodynamics for it, and the power.
Mac didn't say you said you beat a turbo. He said that the turbos have a problem hitting 130+.
Look at the video hiboost has out. his car is around 300 hp, he hit 130. You might have 120-125whp at the most. It's just imposible. The question shouldn't be whats wrong with us but whats wrong with you. Common sence should tell you if a MSP stock barly hits 130, you would have even more of a problem doing it.

Nope! I don't know that. But what I do know is that my z28 had more that 3 times the power and alot better aerodynamics and a lot better gears. And all I got out of her was 147, but that was with the t-tops off! I do know some about power to weight, and I have had my pro to the point that it wouldn't go anymore. All I could get out of it was around 110, didnt hit a limiter or anything, it just would go any faster. And I'm not stock. There is a guy with the same mods minus the CAI (he still has the stock box in) and he dynoed around 125 whp. So I can guess I'm pretty close if not 1 or 2 hp more. So unless you have something that no one here knows about and it gives you a hell of a lot of HP you just can't do it.
I'm guessing you think I called you a lyer and in a way I did but not in the way you think. I didn't mean anything personally. I used my words poorly I guess. So I apologize.

Ill semi back him up.
I was able to hit 115 in the 1.6l pro, where we are governed. I know there is no chance of it doing more but I can dream. I say the older body style is more areodynamic! Thats got to be it.

That and going downhill with the wind to your back helps alot. I would like to point out that I was going semi uphill ( a very small slant), Im hoping someone with like 50 more hp could do a bit better, what do we dyno at 70 ... less. I would like to point out that we have taken a v6 mustang well past 120 where the spedo ends, and were still accelerating hard, and thouse things are flying bricks.

...I don't know if you sent it, but for some reason it did not come through. Please try again. So that it doesn't appear as spam, please title it "protege top speed" or something like that. Please note, I have a 10MB limit on my mail. So, please try to keep anything you send to around half that.

I didn't know you wanted MY e-mail. There has to be a way you can put it on this forum. I don't like giving out my stuff to basicly unkowns. I had to pay for a virus kill one, that hurt.

... you can send him a PM with your e-mail address in it. Your e-mail address will stay hidden from the rest of the people looking at this forum. I have done this a few times, while buying and selling stuff to other members. No problems, ever.
