I believe both have been documented/written about before, but I'd go with the header + catback if possible just looking at it from a performance perspective.

Looks like I am going with the Borla, with a header upgrade as well,

If I can find the right price, but does anyone know what rating the current stock header/exit ports are, (moderate back pressure or just flat out performance robbing)

Someone give me a good price from a reliable vendor, perferably in Canada or buffalo

I am paying 400 US for the Borla cat back *Mazda Pro E.S. 2001

Try these places.
gsc motorsports
and protegegarage.com.
I don't think you find anything cheap, I wonder if it would save money just taking it to a muffler shop and having one made? You can buy the header and muffler separet and have the do the rest! I don't know, has anyone done that yet?
