Red Line MTL
I know there has been discussion about putting in ATF or MTL (whether it be Red Line or not), but I haven't seen someone say spefically how much to put in of the MTL. I know on auto trannies, you fill it up completely, but in manual gear boxes, it's usually half full (fill up to filler plug on the side of case). On the manual gear boxes in the Pros, the hole to fill the tranny is at the top where the speedo cable goes. How are you supposed to put in manual gear lube? Do we fill the entire gear box they same way as if we put in ATF? Just wanted to make sure before I put in the MTL and then the tranny starts leaking.
90&00 Protege, I know you put in RL MTL in your Pro, did you fill it up to the speedo gear?
Thanks in advance for any help.

i'll try to xplain:
Yes, you fill it through that top hole...
The owner's manual has an illustration:
On the SOHC tranny, its full when the oil level reaches the TOP of the ACTUAL 'GEAR' itself.
On the DOHC, the tranny's full when it reaches the top of the RING that sits JUST ABOVE the 'gear'.
Capacity's:
SOHC 2WD - 2.83 qts
DOHC - 3.55 qts
