Hey, you bought yours from scarboro mazda too? (I see that from your plates) I bought mine there a few months ago! Who did you deal with? I got good service there, hope you did too.

LOL our dealers act like they're doing us a favor! the rack-less thingy looks alright. i'm sure we could've got something like that as well, but us americans are too damn impatient!

Front plate

I was bumming about putting a front plate on our new P5, but then Ohio came out with a red, white and blue one that will look pretty cool.

Now if our car ever arrives at the dealer.
We ordered it in September and it's now supposed to be in next week. They first told us it would only take four to eight weeks.
I hope we get our 02 P5 before O3

Concerning the "front licence Plate" issue, I live in California, were front plate are MANDATORY. but i've been "plate-less" for the past 5 years(VW Jetta), with NO PROBLEMS from 'da Man. Even so I believe it's just a "fix-it-ticket"......."Oh, officer it must have fallen off!"

Note: On my 3 day old MP5 , I attmepted to remove my front plate bracket, I was bummed to find one of the 10mm screws "stripped on", and I couldn't remove it. Today I was at dealer on a different matter when I mentioned this to a service person, He promtly got his air wrench and together we finally removed the bugger.......I then asked if he had any ZOOM-ZOOM plates and YES he did! What service!!

Later, speedbump

Take off the plate and bracket and bend the plate a little. Put the plate under your seat and the bracket in the garage. If anyone ever stops you, show them the plate and say you're waiting on a new bracket...the old one was vandalized...and would be happy to bring it in to show them once you get it on. Put the plate on the bracket, put the bracket on the car and go show 'em. This only works once, though...

Smart thinking.........although I must admit that I covered the 2 screw holes with yellow contact paper (about the size of a small dime) so that the holes won't show, but i"m certainly going to follow your lead.

License plate holder holes

Covering the holes is a good idea if you might ever need to put the holder on.

My wife didn't need a front plate on her 323 until she moved to Ohio last year.

I installed a new holder and plate and it fell off within a week.

Turns out the weather and road residue had caused the threads inside the bumper to rust away.

I had to take the front fascia off and put in a new holder inside the bumper.

HEHEHE
In georgia , it's not mandatory. But even if it was i think it's worth the ticket IMO. Unless you get it repeatedly then it's up to you
