$1,000, I'm thinking I could have offered $800-$900. Sometimes it's hard to find a car that cheap though, because California cars generally have no rust ...

And... I guess I'm keeping it-- I'll see if it really has frame damage or what. Tires are shitty (haven't been rotated / inflated) and it needs an alignment. When I get it up on the lift I can see if it'll be good to go. The guys wife rear-ended somebody, but I don't think it's anything really bad. As for the DX... I don't know. It's just leaking out all the transmission fluid, it's not gonna hold up like that. I needed something to drive, while I fix the DX.... It would be nifty to convert the DX to manual and make it my race car . Right now it has all the good suspension and tires on it, I will get around to swapping it over some time.

You have hella spare parts now for a grand. Good work. Now combine the cars into a super car.

would be a cool idea to just swap out everything under the hood of the LX or everything out the DX into the LX ... tires and suspension and so forth ... you know ...
but like you said it depends on the chassis rigidity.. and personally I like blue better than that champaine thingy color
